Adoption Timeline

• 6/30/14 A beautiful baby girl was born on the other end of the world
• 7/8/14 We announced to the world we were adopting (crazy we were taking pictures for this just before her birth. We hit some road blocks after this with finances, housing, and programs shutting down. But as always God has the best plan... 
• 1/22/15 We officially sent in our application to Holt for the Waiting Child Program
• 2/10/15 We sent an email to Holt inquiring about an adorable little girl.  We began the process of medical consults, essays, phone interviews, and waiting for news from Holt's committee meetings to hopefully be matched with our baby girl, not knowing at the time if anyone else was in the same process for her. It was nerve wracking!! We felt in our hearts she was ours, but tried our best to distance ourselves. 
• 3/9/15 We received a surprising and amazing call letting us know our girl was ours and we were officially parents. We were matched with our beautiful baby girl!! We immediately began our home study, medicals, and psychological testing. 
• 6/3/15 We received Home Study approval- This meant we could now immediately apply for the first part of USCIS approval, as well as start applications for grants, and best of all send acceptance to her country. 
• 6/8/15 Our Acceptance Paperwork was sent to her country to begin the legal process!
• 7/9/15 We recieved USCIS approval!! (Meaning the last part needed to sent our Dossier)
• 7/10/15 Dossier sent overnight-ed to U.S. agency to check.  
• 7/16/15 Dossier sent to her country!! 
• 10/21/15 Our paperwork was submitted to the government in Korea for Emigration!! (A huge step!) 
• 11/23/15 We received our Emigration Permit Approval!! Such a very blessed Thanksgiving for our little family!
• 11/23/15 We got the email shortly after approval that we had been submitted for our Court Date!
• 12/10/15  We were notified of our Court Date which will be on 1/22/16, and we'll meet our girl for the first time on the 18th, again on the 20th (Korea time so it's a day ahead). 

• 1/22/16 Court Date (This was our 1st trip! We met our girl and met with the Judge to say YES! YES! YES! We want her to be ours!!!)
• 2/27/16 Judge Issued our Final Decree 
• 3/15/16 Custody  (This was our 2nd trip to bring her home! She was forever ours!)
• 3/17/16Visa Interview
• 3/19/16 Home Forever (We arrived in the USA!)
